The list for this week contains my top 5 most hated sports teams. It goes without saying if you have read my about me section or have ever talked to me that I love my Detroit teams (where I am from) and Tennessee (where I went to school) and U of M (maize and blue, my whole life). So many of these teams go hand in hand with teams I hate. Here they are:
5. Florida Gators
When Spurrier was the head coach here, it was a very heated rivalry between Tennessee and Florida. They just go on the list because I hate rival teams mostly. Spurrier made the comment before that you can’t spell citrus without UT. The citrus bowl is where the 2nd best team in the SEC goes to play (unless two play for the BCS games). It was a dig that Tennessee could not beat Florida. I also have renewed hatred for them, because Urban Meyer is a prick. He ran up the score against us this year, airing it out late in the 4th quarter when they had the game in hand. Tasteless, no honor, no integrity.
4. Colorado Avalanche
They used to be my #1 most hated team. The thing is, it is difficult to hate a team when you constantly beat them anymore. How itense was this rivalry between the Detroit Red Wings and the Colorado Avalanche? In 2002, Game 7 of the Western Conferences between the two teams was held in Detroit and standing room only tickets were fetching $500 a pop easy and lower bowl tickets were $2,000 each minimum. I hated Colorado more than anyone else back then, but unlike other teams on this list, I at least respected them. Outside of Claude Lemieux, they had class end exemplified what a good organization should be. Nevertheless, I hope they lose all their games.
3. New York Yankees
You only have to say one thing here. They spend more money than anyone else, will never go for a hard salary cap and basically ruined the sport. That fetches any team to go in the top 5 in my book.
2. Georgia Bulldogs
Long time rival of Tennessee and the team in the SEC I hate most. This is due to their obnoxious fans. I went to a game here between UGA and UT in Athens, and it was pretty bad. I felt really safe when the police (supposed to be keeping me safe) were discussing ways to remove Tennessee fans from existence, by killing their female fans off, so they cannot make any more Tennessee fans. Classy. They also beat us for most of my undergrad years, so I resent them for that.
1. Ohio State Buckeys
The worst team ever. It is sad that the greatest rivalry in sports (at least American sports), has to have one side of the fanbase be completely classless. No joke here and no exaggerations. I had a friend go to a Michigan-Ohio State game in Columbus and with only a Michigan license plate on the car (not U of M, just plain Michigan), someone took a shit on the hood of his car. One of my professors at Tennessee went to OSU and grew up there and said in the 70s, the fans would look for Michigan cars and tip them over and sometimes set them on fire. I went there once with my wife. I saw OSU fans spitting on Michigan fans. They called my wife the word that rhymes with ‘bunt’. I really wanted to do something, but knew I would wind up in the hospital if I said a word, she knew this as well. They amde a little boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old, cry. He was with his dad, they were wearing Michigan clothing. They told the little boy that his mother was not there, because she did not love him and that he was adopted. I saw fights. It was horrible. Their fanbase alone makes them the team I hate most, nevermind even getting into how much they cheat.

No idea what you’re talking about. Never heard of any of them.
GO AVS!!

This belongs under the entry for the Yankees.
And no I don’t care that I just commented on a thread from a year and a half ago.
I don’t care either! The more comments the better.
